How to Drop Off & Prepare Your Gifts

We're so grateful you've adopted a family's wish list! When you're ready to drop off your gifts, feel free to bring them wrapped or unwrapped. The most important thing is meeting the drop-off deadlines so we can ensure each gift is accounted for and ready for pickup day. You'll find all the details and FAQs below.

Suggestions when shopping for your family:

  • ✺shop sales

    Take advantage of the Black Friday sales to get something nice without breaking the bank.

  • ✺ include gift receipts

    Just in case something doesn’t fit, please include a gift receipt.

  • ✺$50 budget

    Remember not to over do it. We requested individuals provide a wish list item around $50. It’s ok if you want to add a little more to it, just don’t over do it. In the giving mood? Adopt another family!

  • ✺ socks / underwear

    One of the most frequently asked for items are socks and underwear. Throw in an extra pair for the kids to make sure they have the basics.

  • ✺ gas/grocery gift cards

    All of these families are struggling and could use help with gas or groceries. Throw in an extra Winco gift card for the parents to help with those tighter months.

  • ✺have fun!

    It’s always fun to give back, so have fun with it. This is all in the spirit of giving.

Drop off Timeline and Details

Monday December 9th:

Drop off deadline for anyone not wanting to wrap the gifts.

We understand that not everyone enjoys wrapping. We are thankful for you contributing to this project and will wrap your gifts for you. Just please tag the person that gift is for. Ex: [family #] 17 year old female

Thursday, December 11th:

Drop off deadline for anyone wrapping their gifts.

Please drop off your gifts fully wrapped with a tag or indicator stating who the gift is for. Please tag it as: [family #] [Age] [Gender]

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Each wish list and family is assigned a number. We organize all of the gifts in numerical order on the morning of distribution. Families begin lining up around 9am and can show up until 3pm. Some parents come after dropping off their child at school so they can go home and hide the gifts. They may bring their kids by after to meet Santa and get something out of the toy bin. Others come with their kids for the gift pick up.

  • Other organizations may be collecting general toys and then wrapping them for the families. Since we are doing more a personalized approach, we have been asked to wrap the gifts for the family.

  • We make sure that everyone who was called gets their wish list fulfilled. For any families that are remaining, we have some generous individuals that have taken on their wish list or we have shoppers that make sure it’s fulfilled.

  • We can always use more help!

    • Spread the word. We can only help more families if this project expands.

    • Help with wrapping. We wrap all Amazon gifts and unwrapped gifts. Join in on the holiday wrapping party!

    • Join the shoppers committee. No families left behind, shop for the ones that have not been adopted by someone.

    • Join the day of distribution.
